ComMotion Recaster: - Pentium-II Computer (350MHz or higher) - SCSI disk controller - Windows NT 4.0 Service Pack 3 or Up - 128 MB RAM - One full size PCI slot - VGA or SVGA Graphic board(800x600) - Ethernet network card (100BaseT) - CD-ROM drive - ForeRunnerLE 155/25 ATM card (if applicable) ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- 4. Troubleshooting ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- 1. For ComMotion Transmission Server, check the License Wizard in ComMotion Pro Programs menu, and review License Procedure section in the User manual. TRanmisssion Server will stop working with your boards after 3 weeks unless boards are upgraded with License Wizard. 2.Common tips: ERRLOOK.EXE is very useful utility to translate error ID to text format (is provided with Visual Studio) 3.VBClient/Custom application does not connect to Server: Ensure that you are providing correct Server address (in IP,DNS,UNC form). Ensure DCOM is enabled on this computer (dcomcnfg.exe, Default properties tab) 4.VBClient does not run: You might have old version of OLE automation DLLs. Run VBRUN60.EXE to autoamatically set up OLE automation DLLs. 5.Setup failed: Restart your computer and run setup again 6.Transmission Server hangs: Exit it by running Kill utility provided in the main ComMotion Pro folder. Use Run in Window's Start menu (i.e. - "ComMotion Pro directory\Kill.exe TrSrvc.exe"). You can also stop TransmitterService from Control Panel Services Icon. 7.Transmission Server stops working with message that buffers overflow: Make sure that you have set the correct (existing) IP address in case of unicast. Make sure that you have set correct bit-rates. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- 5.
